Ridler Store, Town of Chemung
The information on this building comes from lifelong resident of Chemung, Mike Aumick. A very special thank you to Mike and Susan Aumick for this information.
As far back as Mike remembers this building was owned by Tom Ridler Sr. (who also owned the Junction Hotel at the same time and whose properties sit adjacent to one another.) I have named the building the Ridler Store since at this time I don't know the original owner. Under his ownership it was used as a John Deere Parts Store.
Bob Hammond owned the building after Ridler and used it for storage when he worked as a delivery man for Pepsi Cola Co. using it to store his inventory of soda pop and empty crates for his Pepsi route.
The property was purchased by Dave and Chris Robinson and remodeled into their home. It appears to be an apartment building today and is unclear who owns it. Located on Railroad St (formerly Chemung St) Town of Chemung, NY - Mary Ellen
